Soenga Kitchen Pack

Gondar black clay made to go on the fire. César Teixeira's casserole and cooking pot are fired in a soenga, a pit dug in the ground and smothered with pine needles, and that fire gives them their colour and strength. Oven rice, bean stew, slow-cooked goat: clay keeps heat and flavour like no modern pan.
