Pilgrimage Pack

Story of the piece

Pilgrimage Pack

A whole Portuguese pilgrimage in four figures. Lisbon's Saint Anthony, the Flower Woman in the Viana costume, the Rooster Man with Barcelos humour and the Witch, a reminder that in Portugal superstition lives next door to the sacred. Porfírio Mendes shapes saints and devils with the same hand. Together they tell the whole country on one shelf.
