Story of the piece
Rare Combination: Banana Fibre
Each banana plant fruits only once. After that the stem would be waste, but on São Miguel, in the Azores, MUSAZ turns it into fibre and the fibre into basketry. This Rare Combination brings together the round braided basket and a crochet coaster: one material, two gestures, a home with a bit of island in it.
