Wood holds what time cannot erase.
The rockrose rises on the hillside like a breath of white light, with its delicate leaves. Its heart pulses, and its scent exhales presence. Strength. In the driest land, it reminds us that beauty can bloom where least expected.
Jacky Cavallari trained at the École Boulle and is today one of the few living masters of marquetry - the art that gives wood its colour, texture and life. With a precision that time does not rush.
For this smoked oak box, finished with rockrose essential oil, the artisan chose twenty-five natural woods, such as limba fraké, red-dyed tulipwood, maple and light guava wood, and with them composed the rockrose. Layer upon layer, using the same traditional marquetry technique employed in the 18th century.
A box to remind us of the value of strength and perseverance.
