KNOW MORE
Learn more about our project and our mission to preserve traditional crafts and products.

Ra-Ro is a bridge between the past and the future. We created this project to preserve crafts and products that have almost been lost over time, giving them the place they deserve. Here you will find rare and exceptional pieces from small productions, each with its own story to tell.

We don’t just choose objects, we choose stories. We look for unique pieces made with ancestral knowledge, respect for the process, and a quality that can be felt at first sight and touch. The criterion is simple: if it is exceptional, if it holds tradition and authenticity within it, we want to share it with you.

We call it our mark of uniqueness. It’s how we show how special each piece is: whether it exists in limited quantities, follows an almost forgotten technique, or results from a time-consuming process. The Ra-Ro Index tells you how unique your choice truly is.

We’re always happy to talk. You can write to us directly at hello@ra-ro.eu, or through the contact form on our website. We love hearing from those who, like us, value what is rare.

Not at the moment. Our home is online: a space where we bring together artisans from different regions. But we dream of opening a physical space in the future, where you can experience these pieces and stories up close.

They are masters and guardians of ancient knowledge. People who have learned from previous generations and keep their craft alive with passion and dedication. Each of them has a face, a voice, and a story that we share with you, because we believe the artisan is just as important as the piece they create.

Portugal is our starting point and, for now, where most of our producers are based. But our mission is broader: to preserve crafts at risk, wherever they may be. That’s why we also give space to traditions and artisans from other parts of the world.

In several ways: we give visibility to artisans’ work, share their stories, and ensure they receive a fair price. Ra-Ro does not negotiate prices. Our role is to be a bridge between those who create and those who seek authentic pieces, helping to ensure that these crafts are not lost.

Some artisans welcome visits, while others prefer to keep their space solely as a workshop. In the future, we hope to organise experiences that bring creators and admirers even closer together. But if you have an idea, send us an email at hello[at]ra-ro[dot]eu — we’d be happy to help.

Yes. Every purchase is a gesture of appreciation for the time, knowledge, and dedication of those who keep the craft alive. At Ra-Ro, we don’t negotiate prices with artisans: we believe that fair value should be set by the creator. We ensure that every piece purchased carries that sense of dignity, because without the artisans, their hands, stories, and perseverance, none of this would exist.

Find out how to choose, care for, and order your next piece.

Each product has its own rhythm. On each product page, you’ll find the estimated production time, which may vary depending on factors such as climate or the availability of raw materials, as these are living, manual processes, never industrial ones. Once production is complete, delivery follows standard shipping times, arriving within a few working days in Portugal and a little longer for other destinations. What we can guarantee is that, when the piece reaches your hands, it’s always worth the wait.

Yes. If there is any manufacturing issue, we take full responsibility and are always available to work with you to find the best solution. At the same time, it’s important to remember that each piece is handmade and therefore no two are ever exactly the same. That uniqueness is part of its beauty and what makes it truly special.

You’ll always find that information on our website. Since we work with small and limited productions, pieces often sell out and may not be recreated. Availability and rarity always go hand in hand.

Yes, or made using traditional craftsmanship. It’s through the artisan’s hands and process that tradition stays alive. Each piece carries unique imperfections, signs that it hasn’t come from a production line, but from a human, patient, and genuine process.

In some cases, yes. Some artisans accept requests for custom pieces, while others only offer their creations as they are. You won’t find this option listed on the website, but if you’d like a personalised product, you can contact us at hello@ra-ro.eu. We’ll always do our best to assess this possibility with the artisan.

Each piece has its own way of being cared for, and we always share specific recommendations on the product page. In general, think of them as something alive: ceramics that need gentle handling, textiles that call for delicate washes, wood that needs hydration and care. The better you care for them, the longer these pieces will last.

Yes, all prices shown on the website include VAT. We value clarity: the price you see is the final price you pay.

We accept the most common payment methods: credit card, debit card, MB Way, and bank transfer. We want the process to be simple and transparent, so you can focus on what truly matters: choosing the rare piece you’ll take with you.

Everything you need to know to ensure your rare piece reaches you safely.

Yes. Our goal is to connect local traditions with the world, so we ship internationally. The available countries are shown during checkout and, if yours isn’t listed, you can always contact us, we’re happy to find a solution.

Once your order leaves our hands, you’ll receive a tracking code so you can follow its journey to you. Like you, we also like to know where it is and we’ll share that journey with you.

Yes. We accept returns within the legal timeframe, provided the piece is returned in the same condition in which you received it. Each product is unique and deserves to be handled with the same care it had when it reached you.

Costs vary depending on the destination and the weight of your order. During checkout, you’ll be able to see the calculated amount before completing your purchase, no surprises. We always strive to ensure that shipping is fair and transparent.

Let us know immediately. Please send us photos of the product and its packaging, and we’ll take care of the rest. Each piece is irreplaceable, but if something goes wrong during transport, we guarantee you’ll receive a prompt and fair response from us.

Simply contact us within the legal return period and indicate the reason for the return or exchange. We’ll provide the necessary instructions for sending the piece back. Once we receive and confirm its condition, we’ll proceed with the refund or exchange.

Find ways to get closer to the artisans and become part of this mission.

We’re still taking our first steps, but this is one of our dreams: to create moments where people can meet the artisans in person, learn from them, and experience the rhythm of traditional crafts. As Ra-Ro grows, we plan to create opportunities for experiences that bring creators and admirers even closer together.
However, if you have an idea, send us an email at hello@ra-ro.eu, we’d love to try to make it a reality.

You can follow us through our website and social media. That’s where we share news, artisans’ stories, and the latest arrivals. Since we work with limited series, keeping an eye out can make all the difference, often, once a piece is gone, it’s gone for good.

We love discovering new stories and producers who share our passion for authenticity. If you know someone or something that deserves to be preserved and shared, you can write to us at hello@ra-ro.eu. We’ll listen carefully and, whenever possible, help continue that story.

Portugal is our starting point, where we’ve found many of the pieces and artisans we represent. But Ra-Ro is not limited by borders. Our mission is to support crafts and products at risk, wherever they may be, because artisanal heritage is a global treasure worth preserving.

We seek the exceptional. Products that carry centuries of knowledge, techniques at risk of disappearing, and materials worked with respect and time. They may be everyday objects or rarer pieces, but they always share something in common: authenticity, quality, and a story worth telling.

Learn how we work with professionals and brands to take crafts and their products even further.

Yes. We know that many professionals look for unique pieces for their projects, and that’s exactly what we offer. We collaborate with architects and designers who want to bring spaces to life through authentic, handmade objects filled with history.

Whenever artisans have the production capacity, we assess this possibility together. Each case is unique and depends on time, raw materials, and the producer’s availability. What we can guarantee is that we never compromise on quality or the integrity of the artisanal process.

Yes. Beyond curating products, we tell stories. We create content such as documentaries, interviews, and photographic records that give visibility to artisans and their crafts. If you’re an organisation or brand that shares this mission of appreciation, we can work with you to help introduce these producers to the world.

Simply write to us at hello@ra-ro.eu with your idea or request. We love building bridges and are always open to exploring new ways to preserve and promote the artisans’ work.
