The azure-winged magpie crosses the fields with the lightness of silk threads in discreet grey. But it is its wings and tail, dyed the colour of the sky, that draw our gaze to the horizon.

It lives in groups, watches, learns, remembers. And when it darts among the branches, it sings, leaving in the air the promise of secrets kept.

Jacky Cavallari trained at the École Boulle and is today one of the few living masters of marquetry - the art that gives wood its colour, texture and life. With a precision that time does not rush.

For this walnut panel, the artisan chose twenty-six woods, such as maple, birch, ash, and grey-dyed tulipwood, and with them composed the azure-winged magpie. Layer upon layer.
