Quinta dos Fumeiros

Deolinda Campelo is the second act of a story that began in 1988 when her mother, Aurora Miranda do Rego, started a small family business raising pigs with time and care for the animals and the land, just as their ancestors had done for centuries. The meat was smoked with local oak wood and cured for months before being sliced and finally savoured.

Eleven years later, in 1999, Deolinda took over the management of Quinta dos Fumeiros and honoured her mother by transforming the family smokehouse into a pearl of Portuguese charcuterie.

Even today, flavour remains only the second most important thing to Deolinda. People always come first. Deolinda wants her farmers, technicians, family, and neighbours to be happy: she likes being able to call them "happy people." And if happiness has a flavour, it is certainly salted with tradition and innovation. Deolinda and her team carry the tradition forward, refining processes, creating new recipes, and breathing new life into historical flavours.

Directly from Ponte de Lima (Minho, Portugal) to the world.
