More than good will, protocols were signed to ensure that each cantarinha is produced according to a rigorous set of traditional standards and techniques.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe opened the lid and peeked inside.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Cantarinha dos Namorados was the receptacle where local brides kept all the money they could save up, in order to buy a gold necklace for their wedding day. Other memories from that time tell us it was also where they kept the gifts they received from the groom's parents.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMade of red clay, shaped like a traditional water vase, it is decorated with floral details in high relief and sparkling mica powder.
